I graduated as a Kindergarten teacher in Budapest, Hungary and before that I earned a degree as a Special Education Associate in Székesfehévár, Hungary. Altogether, I have been enjoying the company of children for the past 5 years. I chose this profession because it requires continuous creativity and renewal, furthermore I have the possibility to shape children’s development. I am also interested in Hungarian folk dance and folk music - I danced in a hobby folk dance group for almost 8 years and during college I also studied the methodology of how children’s interest can be drawn towards folk games and folk dance. If even one child starts folk dance because of my impact, all these years were well worth it! Another thing I enjoy is teaching arts and crafts to children, on their own level. My goal is not only to look after children but also to help them develop their skills. I feel honoured that I have the opportunity to shape their lives and have an impact on what kind of a grown-ups they become.

It’s hard to recollect my favourite experience with children, as I have one every day! One occasion that really touched me is when a child who was not interested in crafts at all, started to accomapany me on his own initiative and I was able to witness his development day by day. Another wonderful thing to experience was to feel how loving children with special needs can be. I had the opportunity to work in a special-needs school where developing the initial contact with the children was rather challenging but in the end, in every case, we turned our relationship into mutual trust, cooperation and sympathy. I am also grateful for the opportunity to have helped out in a summer camp for 43 children. I was responsible for helping them perform certain tasks at given stations, held arts and crafts classes and joined them in role play. The quality time I spend with children and the love I get from them always recharges my batteries.
